Saw this ad pop up when looking at the Black Friday thread, Galleryofguns.com. Looked around the website for a bit, seems pretty straightforward. Pick a gun, get a quote from a local gun shop, buy it and they ship it to that store. Maybe seems to good to be true not sure, just wondering if anyone had ordered from them or what you guys thought. Thanks

Davisons Gallery of Guns is a great site.
I've used them a dozen times or more.
    Check out their Davisons guarantee.
All firearms sold through the website carry a lifetime warranty through Davisons, regardless of manufacturers warranty.

    Buy with confidence.

I've used them multiple times. Never had an issue and it's a good way to comparison shop for what you want. Lifetime guarantee is a big plus for manufacturers that don't already have a lifetime warranty.

I use it when I'm looking for a new gun so I can get an idea of the TOP price I should pay. Their prices are always really high and above fair market most the time. If you're looking for something hand to find it might be worth it, but I would check local shops, Buds, and Gunbroker first for best prices.

the weapon has to be sent to a local dealer of your choice.
Then you have to pay their processing fee.
I would talk to the dealer first for their deal.
Also many times you can find your choice at a local gun show.

When I wanted my Chiappa Rhino. I shopped and shopped with no luck.
I tried several dealers. Their price or Attitude turned me away.
Finally I found a dealer who ordered it for me.
the order slip stated that he received it from Gallery of Guns.
I talked other dealers I later got to know.
They all said that Gallery of guns charge more.
Just remember that once you order your choice (maybe unknown) you are stuck with it.

I used them once for a revolver that I really wanted and knew that I would not find in a local. I talked to my LGS and he could not order it so I went through G o G's. No issues at all.

Have bought two pistols off Gallery of Guns. Easy as can be and hassle free. Best part is you pick up the gun at a local gun shop.

Here's an example: Glock 17 Gen 4 17-round magazines. List price $649. Prices at 9 retailers within 25 miles of downtown Indianapolis through GoG range from $539.00 plus $12.95 in fees plus $38.64 sales tax for a total of $590.59 to $567.44 plus $12.95 in fees plus $40.63 sales tax for a total of $621.02. Yes, there are some GoG-affiliated retailers who will meet the GoG price without going through GoG.

I've used it once when getting an Eagle Scout edition Henry. Couldn't find one any other method. Worked out well for me. Unfortunately, my favorite LGS has stopped using them for their own reasons. Things went smoothly.

They seem VERY pricey!! Buds or KYcompany for me.
Same gun at Bud's is $562.38 retail or $546.00 if you pay with "cash" plus free shipping plus FFL fee plus 7% Indiana sales tax (which I believe you are legally required to pay on an on-line purchase if you are an Indiana resident [wink, wink]).

Granted, this is just one example.
