Have *any* government workers been laid off/furloughed/whatever during these lockdowns? I know of a lot working from home via a state employee friend, but I'm now aware of any not working and collecting paychecks.
Crazy me- I would think we would be doing whatever we can to avoid a lockdown (and we- Indiana- are not locked down and are unlikely to be locked down). Such things would include taking every reasonable precaution to try to lower the transmission rate, if for no other reason, because those who talk about mandated lockdowns look at that metric.
...but a fair number of people are more interested in making a statement about themselves than actually avoiding lockdowns. I guess virtue signalling isn't a liberal-only dealio. Perhaps we can find unity in our shared priority that being viewed in a certain light is more important that outcomes.
You would see NO lockdowns if it meant that the 'ruling class' was out of a job. ****ing believe it.
