I moved my thread over! I know it's an old safe but I have no way to change the (mechanical lock) code as we bought it used. Frontier Safe. I was just throwing it out there to see if anyone had any thoughts? Thanks!

If you are not comfortable with this procedure, most locksmiths can change the combo in minutes.
:>). No problem, they can be changed as long as you have the current combination. Most of them work the same way, and most safe brands use only a few of the electronic lock brands, but you may need to search youtube for the model you have.OK......my bad...again...its electronic! keypad

Here is an example of the La Gard lock which is used a lot on different safes.
DO NOT close the door until you are totally confident all is working good.
