Sportsman's Guide sells a lot of cheap chinese crap, their ammo prices are rarely competitive, and their businesses practices are, in my experience, less than ethical (and I'm being very polite when I describe them that way).
I don't care if these folks give free shipping and a 50% discount, they will never get my money. The only company that seems worse that Sportman's Guide is Cheaper Than Dirt.
Ok, forgive my ignorance, since I haven't dealt with them in years...
What is less than ethical about their practices?
Not trying to start anything but a discussion, because I honestly don't know, and haven't heard that anywhere else.
I buy a lot of surplus stuff as well as hunting supplies at SG. I think their customer service it topnotch. The only things that I have not been satisfied with (because of funky sizing) is some of their clothing like long underwear and some of their boots. They take returns with no questions, usually paying return postage as well.
