Any opinions on this holster, I'm thinking of getting one for my Ruger SR9 for outside carry. Eventually I will get a nice IWB also.

The Fobus is not a bad holster, its just a very basic, plain-jane holster. If you're not exactly sure what you want just yet, but still need something "for now", I'd pay the $20 and start searching for a higher quality holster.

I use a Fobus GL2-B for my Glock 19/26. They aren't bad holsters. Some may not consider them pretty, but they get the job done and are reasonably priced.

    Thanks

Thanks for the input, I've been looking for something cheap right now until I can find a nice leather holster for a lefty. I plan on getting nice ones for OWB and IWB. I'm not only picky I'm also financially challenged.:spend:

The only downfall of FOBUS holsters is the crappy materials that they are made of. If they were made using a KYDEX like material they would be great.

Their design really isn't that bad.

+1. I've seen a couple of them destroyed during retention training; either the holster will separate from the paddle, or the holster itself will split at the rivets – either way, the bad guy gets your gun. :noway:

Uncle Mike's, Galco and Blade-Tech all offer low-end Kydex or heavy thermoplastic holsters at about the same price point as the Fobus; all of them are superior in design and construction and would be a better alternative.
