Many cases go even longer and that is one of the reasons I "smh" whenever someone says you can just "get a lawyer and sue" if you aren't happy with how your rights were violated. As if it is such an easy thing to do.

Justice delayed is justice denied. Not terribly surprising though. If I were going to wind up forcibly losing a lot of money, I would want to prolong that date as much as possible too.

Clay's case was settled and they admitted fault. Mine is still pending a trial. AFAIK trial date is still 10/20 but there was a phone conference today. I do not yet have the update.
