There is no minimum residency time in Indiana. You're a resident from Day 1. As soon as you establish an address, you can apply for an LTCH.

I'm sorry but that is incorrect.
The way I became a resident was I made 50% of my income in Indiana, there are some other ways but 50% of gross income and a year living in Indiana are the only few ways.

I didn't have to wait a year. I just had to show proof of residency. IIRC, we used our lease.

From what I was told at the BMV that is not enough to be a resident. I was able to register my car at my apartment, but I was not able to obtain state drivers license until I proved that I made 50% of my gross income here.

Once I was able to meet the BMV standards (needed a bill to show proof of residency) to get the DL I went and applied. When I got home from the BMV I walked to the Police Department and applied and 40 days later got my Lifetime.

See, that's the problem, I could go down to the county court house today and ask the exact same question in five different offices....and get five different answers, or maybe two different answers and three "I don't know"s. The idiots that make the rules can't even figure them out, what the f*** chance do we have!:xmad:
