he's in Evansville, has been published in many a book and magazine, he has engraved for kings, presidents(both American and foreign) a pope, a general, millionaire, taught engraving, is one of the most sought after engravers in the world(he does one off colts, for colt!)

I would also recommend Mike Dubber. He has done work for me in the past and it turned out perfect. I was lucky enough to see some of his work in progress and was very impressed!

No Good Engraver will have a short turn around time. Their Artists and in high demand. As for the stock, I've seen some Awsome Laser work done on Wood. You might check into that.
