A few years ago, I almost bought a Gamo Stutzen air rifle…and soon after, I found they’d been discontinued. Every few months I get the itch and look for one, but it seems like no one makes them anymore. I think BSA might have made one at some point, but I’ve had no luck in finding one. Any idea whether someone still makes one?

I’m kind of surprised these aren’t more common, as they look so cool.

I think you’ll have to check the used market. BSA had the Airsporter Stutzen, Diana had a 430 stutzen, and of course Gamo.

Stutzen are beautiful, but the long stock interferes with the barrel harmonics and by extension accuracy.

I had a BSA years ago, but in comparison to my regular Airsporter, the accuracy went to the standard stock.

@baranjhn is correct based on what I’ve read. I, too, have a real hard-on for Stutzen/Mannlicher style rifles, but they’re tricky for air rifles. I’ve kind of decided to just chase them in the powder-burner world and let my air rifle tastes do their own thing.
