DD, I have a gill gun that I refinished, but it will only feed about 2 shells before it jams. If you are intimately familiar with these guns I would sure like you to take a look at it.
BTW, it is only one of quite a few 22LR firearms.
I'm no gunsmith by any stretch of the imagination! I've never had any problems with my High Standard or with the Stevens I gave to the grandson. I don't know that I'd be of any help. When you say "jams", do you mean it fails to eject, or stovepipes, or something else? Maybe someone else here on INGO may know what would cause the problem. I guess my standard answer to fix things of "Try rebooting" doesn't apply.
Well that makes me feel much better about the money I put in my 10/22 as well as my 15-22.Love my MK4 it definitely kept me shooting last year. This year I want to get a Tac Sol 10/22 a Dead Air mask for it and a nice piece of glass. It will be spendy but very very nice
Anyone else a fan of their rifles or is there some where else I should look?
If memory serves me, it is in the lifter area that the issue is. I will get it out again and fiddle with it some more. Thanks for the info. It is a good looking rifle. Bought it at an auction and did a complete redo. Replaced the front sight because it was bent over. Dura Coat on all the metal, refinished the stock. Came out nice. Bought it as a project gun. Had done a couple of pistols with Dura Coat, wanted to do a rifle. It's my understanding that these 87D's are a bit of a complicated mess to keep running when they start to fail.
I just came off of fiddling with a buddies 87D. Missing screw, parts needed bent to tune the lifter, then finally gave up and couldn't go farther.
An odd part called the bumper was broken. The part can be replaced, but required barrel removal from the receiver. Not work for me. Nor worth paying a smith to do it.
I recently bought a 15-22 for training, plinking and grandkid teaching. But mostly my wife will shoot it when she comes with me to the range and so will I. It's a lot of fun. Of course, I couldn't leave it alone which would have made it an inexpensive firearm. I had to do some stuff to it, lol. It's not quite up to that Tacsol pricing, but it's plenty high.My first gun was a 12 gauge, my second was a .22. I now have a number including a Glock G44 and a S&W 15-22 both of which got extra use during the recent ammo shortage.
This sounds like me. I do have lots of ammo so hopefully I'll one soonI actually don't currently own a .22lr. I have had several in the past but for one reason or another I've sold or traded them all off. I need to get another one
A rimfire is definitely my most expensive firearm.Just finished one that I recently bought because of INGO. It might be my most expensive firearm, lol.

I have that same High Standard I inherited few years ago. Good target pistol.I have several rifles, including a few Mossberg rifles that are way older than I am. I also have 3 .22 lr. handguns. My favorite .22 handgun is a Hi-Standard Dura-Matic M-101 that was my great Grandfather's pistol.
