went on an early morning drive to purchase s.r. &L.r. primers the drive was nice but boy was I upset with myself when I got home and put on my glasses to inspect my "catch or should i say screwup of the day)...(birthday no less)anyway, the small primers are ok,but the large are "for magnum loads" and yes here comes the all important question. If using H4895 (35.5 gr ) in a 22-250 with a 52 grain hpbt match bullet can i substitute magnum for standard primers without pressure problems? sorry for being so "winded", would appreciate your fella's thoughts.

I have not loaded that caliber but I would use them, and if you're worried i'd say reduce your load by 0.5-1.0gr(or more if you want) and work your way back up to a comfortable load. Watching for high pressure signs of course.

Don't 22-250 loads call for magnum primers anyway?

I use only magnum primers in small rifle anyway, because they have thicker cups to aviod slam firing in an AR.
