Earlier, Daley expressed outrage at the 5-4 court decision.

"Does this lead to everyone having a gun in our society?"

Yes. It does. THAT'S EXACTLY THE POINT, YOU TOOL!

"Does this lead to everyone having a gun in our society?"

Could you imagine the horror if every law abiding citizen was able to carry a tool to *gulp* defend themselves against bad people?

Even thinking about it gives me the heebee geebees.:rolleyesedit:

Yeah...that must be why non-citizens risk life and limb to come here.

"... City officials expressed confidence the city would prevail in any court challenge, asserting, among other things, that the 2nd Amendment as part of the Bill of Rights restricts the federal government and does not apply to state and local governments. ..."

Don't those morons realize that the D.C. ban was the work of local government?

Does sound like Mr Daley and his sidekick the governor is a little concerned, and of course they will fight it in court, they will be using the taxpayer's money to do so.

Constitutional rights for terrorists, mercy for child rapists....I fully expected the DC handgun ban to be upheld. This ruling is a thunderclap, and is as welcome as it is earth shaking. I hope Daley goes to bed sucking his thumb tonight.

Sure looks like their gun ban is working to me.

Sooo... giving the benefit of the doubt on the timeline and starting at January 1, 2004, and ending at November 30, 2007..... that's 1430 days. That's 30.54 "firearms-related violent crimes" per day. And they still have time to make sure that non-violent, law-abiding citizens are not carrying guns or "storing" them in their homes??

    Huh?

I'm really confused right now...If you aren't allowed to carry a gun in Chicago, how could there possibly have been 43,685 firearms-related violent crimes?

Thats the old arguement, having lived in Detroit, and DC & Chicago having the most restrictive gun laws and the highest crime rates too!!!

Huh, I didn't make the connection. :dunno: say the liberals......

I'd love to see a gun grabber actually have to explain this. Today when the politicians in DC and Chicago were predicting the end of the world was coming, why didn't a reporter actually ask about the stats? Hmmm.... I bet we all know the answer to that question.
