    I just did my 9c.

    I just followed the lines of the factory stippling with a $4 soldering iron from Menards.
    No particular pattern and didnt allow tip to sit at one spot too long. It looks very professional and it helped me a lot with grip.

    Dont poke, just apply very light pressure and scribble. It took me 20 minutes. That includes trip to Menards.

    I agree with EricG. I stippled my Glock 19 and as long as you take your time and focus, it will turn out nice looking. I enjoy doing it. I would advise trying it for yourself!
