Mine took 4 days.
I was fingerprinted at L1 on Friday, dropped by the downtown PD the same afternoon, and received my LTCH on Tuesday of the following week.
This was in late March of this year.
My wife dropped hers in the mailbox on Saturday. Did it the good ole fashion way here in Greenfield. The lady at the PD told her 4-6 weeks.
I used the L1 process (in Greenwood) - made the appointment online. Went to local PD right after the L1 appointment on 4/4/12 - received my permit on 4/14/12 (exactly 10 days)!
Someone will be along to correct your use of "permit" instead of "license" in 3...2....1...
[STRIKE]permit[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]license[/STRIKE] infringement
I used the L1 and County said 7-10 days. I applied on 4/20. We'll see how fast it comes in.
I did the L1 fingerprinting process and went to the Hendricks county sheriffs dept 2.5 weeks ago. Hadn't received anything yet so I called the State Police firearm division. Trooper gladly looked it up for me, where he informed me it looks like Hendricks county forget to click "submit" in the CRIS(sp?) system?
Called Hendricks county, and they submitted it on the phone for me.
L1 Fingerprinting on Good Friday. Paid the $50 the next monday (+$2 for notary) LTCH in hand in 8 days. Good enough for me!
