    Wait time? What wait time.

Applied (renewal) online the night of 02/29. Replacement license in the mailbox today.

    That's 7 business days. I don't have a problem with that....

i applied in late jan, a nice lady on the phone a few weeks ago told me they received it on jan 20th. I still have not received mine.

Guessing you did yours at the City-County Building? Since your location is Downtown Indianapolis.

Once again, applied on Jan. 4th. Old fashion way...
    It's been oh...10 weeks and 6 days...
I'm really tired of waiting...like really tired...

My friend said it took him 3 months. Told me to call them next Monday, if I don't get it (LTCH's mail on Fridays).
I really think I might call them tomorrow.
I was also told that since I'm young (20 y/o) that it's harder to do background checks because there's less information on you (they have to do more digging).

Applied for my LTCH on 1/17/12 and finally received mine in the mail today (3/15/12). Right around 8 weeks. Looking back I wish I would have went with the L1. But at least I have it.

Got mine today... Went to the mail box and seen the good old pink slip.

Just to give those waiting a general idea.. I mailed my app., & fingerprints in on 1/28/12 and got them today 03/15/12. I did not do the L1.

Excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain the L1 route to obtaining an LTCH here in Indiana. I'm new here from out of state and don't know if would be faster for me to go downtown Indianapolis or do whatever this L1 method is. As from reading these post, it would seem that is the fastest method.

Used L1 and visited the Porter County Sheriff's office Friday 3/9. Received my pink paper a week later, 3/16.

The Sheriff's office was very helpful for the whole process.

I applied for my license 3/15/12 (didn't use L1) at the City County Building downtown. Will update when I get it.

I started the online application on 3/4, went a week later for L1 fingerprints, then the next day to dt Indy to pay for my local. On 3/14 got my license in the mail. I was surprised that it was that quick

can you just go to the police department and do it all there instead of doing it online? id rather get it done right the first time then **** it up and have to redo the whole thing.
