No. Not as long as your address as shown on the license has not changed. Even if it has simply notify them of the new address and keep on book'n! :rockwoot::D

The truth pays off!! For anyone that has remembered any of my posts about my application, I finally received a call from a Lt. at ISP. Prior to this, and for checking "yes" on the dreaded mental health question, I was told by a nice lady at ISP to send in a letter stating everything that had gone on in my life around the timeframe I put on the document.

I sent that letter in on Friday, June 25th at like 2pm. The lady at ISP told me she meets with somebody about these types of situations prior to approving or denying applications. I got a call on Monday the 28th that I missed and returned it on the 29th. This morning I awoke to the phone ringing (pissed, thinking it was the same damn collectors calling for someone that does not live here) and it was the Lt.! I missed the damn thing again! So I hit re-dial and the lady that answered said he wasn't in.

I asked who might have called my house because I had only been in "contact" with the Lt. She did a quick page, put me on hold and bam! Lt. answers. He had elaborated on the letter I sent in and asked me to re-iterate it, and he said based off what he read, how old I am now and what he sees in my application, my specific situation does not "qualify" as being mental health. He said normally under these situations they do a followup at a mental health facility but judging by the structure of my letter and speaking to him now, he's going to go ahead and push it through the works.

Exactly 1 month to the day from going through L-1 and selecting yes to the dreaded question on 6/1, I should see it fri/sat or Monday! WOOHOO!

Thanks fo keeping us posted and congratulations on getting through all of that! :)

Has anyone here recently applied for the lifetime license? How long did it take to get yours? I'm curious to know how long the current wait is because I was told 4-8 weeks, but then I read that it was 12-14.

I can now tell MY story......

Applied for, and received my first permit 4 years ago, the state did not yet pass the lifetime permit law, so I waited the required time , 85 days, to get my first one.....

This year I applied for the lifetime permit, 4 and a half months of a wait, just got it, signed it, laminated it myself, 3 layers, cut it and now carry it, NEVER HAVE TO GO DOWN TO THAT POLICE STATION ( FOR THAT) AGAIN...WOOOO-HOOOOOOOOO...! ! :D

I applied on-line, had the correct info, and still had to go get finger-printed and pay the fee....ahhh, well, the price paid for a fundamental Right under the Constitution of these United O'bamma States of America....

I have a friend who is still waiting, after 5 months, to receive his 4 year permit...yikes....

    I am out....

I am a bit of a mood, so I apologize for sidetracking this thread momentarily, but I have to vent on that comment. Crap like that gets posted so much here. I mean, I get it, most people here dont like Obama, liberals, etc. I am in no way disagreeing. However, the law has not changed since he took office. He has no bearing on our state's gun laws. Why must everyone be so quick to take a dump on him for unrelated matters?

Back on subject, 4-5 months? I really will carry a long gun if mine takes that long!

Sorry, for I ,too, was in a mood after watching the Rep. Stark video....and yes, I DO believe that O'bamma is selling our once great country down to the drain....AND ignoring the wants and needs of its' people, not to mention his disregard for the Constitution of these United States of Status America....sorry, I am bad....just today, I'll be better in mood tomorrow...

    I am Out......;)

New member here, I've been lurking for a couple of weeks. But I thought I'd pass along some info I got today.

The people processing at the ISP firearms division are currently working on applications from the middle of April. I applied for/sent my paperwork in on the 11th of May, and the MO was cashed on the 13th. They suggested that I wait a couple of weeks and if I don't have it by then, to call back. So at least I know where they're at in their backlog. Hope this helps anyone still waiting like I am.

    The wait is killing me.
