    Cleaning your sights

You want to avoid adding water to your fire arm use a q-tip or a lint free rag with a little rubbing alcohol or a 3 in 1 gun cleaner the water will seep and end up damaging your gun. Especially if you are like me and out side :rockwoot:a lot it could freeze and eventually loosen the sights.

That is a good point...hadn't thought about that. Looks like I'll use some rubbing alcohol.

the amount of water you would use would be minimal, so unless you store your gun where its below freezing its not going to make a differance.... there were times where i would spray ballistallube into my star chamber let it soak then rinse it in the shower... this was done when it was 20 degree's outside, and i have taken firearms to the range on cold days when they were wet no problem.... dont get me wrong water isnt exactly good for a firearm but its not kryptonite either.... using water on a q tip isnt going to damage the gun.
