China State Construction Engineering Corp, the largest contractor in China, has bagged a subway ventilation project worth about $100 million in New York's Manhattan area, marking the construction giant's third order in the United States' infrastructure space this year.

The contract was given to China Construction American Co, a subsidiary, the Wall Street Journal quoted a source as saying.

"The new project, along with the $410-million Hamilton Bridge project and a $1.7-billion entertainment project it won earlier this year, signals China State Construction's ambition to tap the American construction market," said Li Zhirui, an industry analyst at First Capital Securities.

    This is not right!
Imagine the thousands of shipping containers arriving from China.
I sure hope this isn't true.

It is easy to destroy something that you built.
I don't want a Communist country involved in any infrastructure projects in our country.

You think that they get the admission fee for it? Kinda all falls into place when we owe them so much and then they start building our infrastructure.

China's construction methods leave MUCH to be desired!

Isn't it ALWAYS China when you hear about a 5 story shopping mall collapsing in on it's patrons, or another "worst mining accident in 20 years" that kills dozens and dozens of workers?

I, for one, am VERY uncomfortable with the idea that China will be constructing ANYTHING inside the U.S.

I STILL say the Three rivers Dam(?) they recently finished, will soon fail, and will be the death of THOUSANDS of innocents!
