cheap (but not junk) turkey gun - 500-535-870?

Mossberg 835 here. Slayed many a bird with it. I like the extra distance I get out of the 3.5" mag. Sounds unbelievable to me now, but I paid $269 for it NIB at Dicks Sporting Goods a few years back.

My 870 is 3.5"............but for turkey I just run 3". Do have some Magnum Blend extended range for it.

and 24 lb tom blasted at 42 yards with Remchoke Superfull choketube and #4 HV Winchester 3" mag

Sweet, gonna break mine in shooting some clays, then try to do some patterning for the toms. I've got four chokes to work with but my turkey choke (if it patterns well) is a Carlson's .680. We'll see. I hear these 835's pattern well with their overbored barrels.
