looking for a WW1 Sam Browne rig for a recently aquired Webley MK6.

There are quite a few for sale in the UK, some even have the officers sword and a de-activated Webley with the rig.

Has anyone bought anything firearm related from the UK?

What hoops would I have to go through to buy a sword and de-activated pistol from over there?

Is there a standard way they de-activate the guns over there? I suppose the actions are ruined in a way that would make it pretty impossible to "re-activate" a Webley?

    Thanks,
    Johnny C

I know they have a different reactivation standard that may not meet the standard we have in the US. They don't chop the receivers there. They certainly are ruined beyond repair, but I am not sure if the BATFE would accept it.

The rig itself would be no problem. Not sure what sort of paperwork you would have to do, but a bunch of leather isn't restricted.

    No idea on the swords.

I don't know about the deactivated Webley but the leather gear is pretty straight forward and I imagine the sword would be as well I have ordered various knives and axes from UK websites before. Generally just a pretty decent shipping cost associated with it.

Like was said above gear is no issue. I bet to get the deactivated handgun you will have to fill out import papers. Call the atf branch to find out.
