Bushmaster 450

So......if you were in the market for a scope for your Bushmaster 450 AR, to be used for deer hunting...........what would you buy?

Close up work (50-100 yards) or longer range? Magnification or no?

I put an Aimpoint Comp9000 on my .458socom for deer this fall.

If you want variable magnification I'd go with the Bushnell 3200, lots of guys are putting them on the .50bmg.

I tried a Vortex Strikefire on my .458 but the mounts that came with it allowed it to move too much, and it didn't make sense to spend the dough for some Larue mounts which cost more than the optic.

50-175 yards.

Probably won't need or even want a BDC recticle.

Sure would like to find a shorter bodied 40-50mm, with extended eye relief. Am not having the greatest luck.

I didn't think 450 bushy was deer legal in Indiana. Did it change this year?

According to the regs. Yes. Unless my dealer told me wrong and I read it wrong.

Pretty sure your dealer is wrong. It has been proposed to be made legal, but will not take affect until next year if it passes.
