12 Gauge 28" Barrels Silver Trigger marked * and ** which are Mod and Full
It has the original buttplate. The bluing is nice with the only blemish being the three X's that the PO scratched into the takedown lever. Bores are bright and shiny with no signs of rust or dents.
Comes with Browning Hardcase.

Browning's site gives the codes from 78-87. I cannot find anything to decipher the codes for an exact year as mine do not follow their listed scheme, but here is what I can tell you. The Barrel is marked Made in Japan. Later on they were marked "Made in Japan and Assembled in Korea" and lastly "Made in Koera from parts made in Japan".
That combined with the silver trigger indicates that this would be one of the earlier ones.
