There are way too many people interested in anarchy, and tearing down law enforcement is one of their goals. The race baiting and inciting of hatred is just another tool in their tool basket. It's just another "the government is out to get you" narrative, right up there with the blue helmets coming for your guns and the like that conservatives are targeted by, only the message is tailored for different people.

Actually I'm surprised it took them to nearly the end of the demonstrations to start this nonsense. NOT surprised that it happened though. Who are they going to blame this one on, since it was the criminal(s) that started shooting unprovoked this time. Should the police start rioting and tearing stuff up? Which lives matter again? There should be no rebuilding. Maybe if the good people (the ones NOT tearing stuff up, shooting at the police, etc.) get angry enough at the ones that took away their stores and destroyed their property, then they will do their own policing. That is my hope. Somehow I think that will not be the case though.

a few steps towards progress

Bring in the national guard
Set up surrounding parameters,
Give them the warning to disperse, while the looting and the didntdonuffins are at play,
Tighten up the parameter with k9, etc,
Warn the crowd again,
If the crowd still looting and taunting
Start working, give them examples why looting, crime and senseless violence isn't going to work anymore there.

When the sun rises take inventory on the degenerates, put them on public display in shackles and orange, I'm talking guantanamo bay style.
