I keep reading on places like reddit how this will increase their fan base. Let’s think about this a second. The NFL has a massive fan base, and once they got political and people began boycotting them they started hurting enough to change their policies and make players stand for the anthem. NASCAR has a much smaller fan base, if they lose 50% of what they currently have, and gain a small fraction through their virtue signaling, they’re going to be hurting a lot more than the nfl did. They have committed suicide. They would’ve been smart to keep their mouth shut, whether they support BLM or not. I don’t care that they support BLM, they can support whoever they want. I would’ve continued watching races if they supported them, but using the sport as a platform to push their politics pushes me away.

First, they came out against confederate flags at the races years ago. They never enforced it tho. Then, drivers in pit lane interviews talked about their support for Hillary Clinton. Then they ban gun advertisements on cars. Now this.

Oh well. The racing has been stagnant for the last 10 years anyways. Doesn’t even look like the NASCAR I fell in love with. Baby France can enjoy running daddy’s success in the ground without me.

Remember when all of auto racing was sponsored by Winston and/or Pepsi? Those were the good old days.

I love this part in the article which I have not heard and no one is mentioning. NASCAR is now allowing protest during the National Anthem. What the ****. Are they ****ing serious.

Along with the Confederate flag ban, NASCAR has relaxed its rules on silent protests during the playing of “The Star Spangled Banner.” Asked on a media call if he would join others who kneel during the national anthem, Wallace, who has been wearing an “I Can’t Breathe/Black Lives Matter” T-shirt before races, said he’s still studying the issue.

Quite possibly, a self-inflicted coup de grace.

Nascar has been losing audience/viewership for years, this is just a way for them to gain some viewers who will watch it because they agree with them politically. Those are the ones who will never know what racing was like years ago when cars where equal but not equal. Driver skills was needed as much as the anything else. You didn't need drafting partners to get to the front most of hte time. I still say Nascar died when Dale Sr. did, it was downhill after that.

I would’ve treated him like all the other cars and roughed him up a little bit… To not do so would have been discriminatory, no?

So, I was curious to see what everyone was talking about when it comes to NASCAR. So I googled NASCAR and clicked on the twitter page. Ha! So reading through the comments on their twitter, a bunch of SJW’s praising NASCAR and telling everyone criticizing them that NASCAR will have way more fans now because of their decision. Whatever, we all know these people have the attention span of a toddler, they’re not suddenly going to sit through a 4 hour race and find it exciting if they didn’t before. But whatever, let the babies have their binky. Anyways, I keep reading and stumble onto a story about a NASCAR team making a “blue lives matter” car to support law enforcement. This is where it gets good. Now those same SJW’s that were praising them are throwing a fit that they would make a blue lives matter car, talking about how it’s offensive to make a blue lives matter car and a black lives matter car, and you can’t support both.

So essentially, what NASCAR has done, is pander to a bunch of people who can’t be pleased and will always find something to complain about. You’ve driven away your core fans to pander to a group that will complain about paint jobs, pollution from cars, not enough diversity in the sport, etc.

For me, I’m done with NASCAR. I won’t even watch the highlights. I’m not giving them a single view. Let it collapse and hope someone with some sense takes it over. I was at dirt tracks when I was 3 months old, and went every weekend when dad and my uncle were racing, up until they stopped racing when I was in my 20’s. I’ll support local tracks to scratch my racing itch, but I refuse to support a sport that panders to cancel culture and allows kneeling during the anthem.

Had to get that off my chest. Happy weekend everyone

If I start to see drivers/teams kneel I am right behind you. I will also say if I see my Steelers taking a knee I am done with the NFL as well.

No Live PD, No NASCAR, No NFL. . . doesnt leave much . . . except for porn. Actually, this may not be too bad after all.
