A good friend and shooting buddy of mine picked up a Bobcat steel target this morning and invited me out for a day of shooting to put it through the paces.
I have to say I am impressed! it held up wonderfully to .45acp, .308 at 100 yards, 200 yards and 300 yards and for the AK haters, it held up to 7.62x39mm at 100 and 200 yards! I was amazed we even hit it with just a Burris Fast Fire III on the AK. I would recommend them to anyone!

    It's a little messy!

Cant even see it from 300 yards here

Also my first time getting to shoot my buddy's m1a since he got his Sage EBR, so very nice, even if it is about 12 lbs.
So jealous! This is his sister, who is new to firearms learning to shoot it.

I saw we vote this thread title of the year! lol...
Glad you guys are enjoying the target. If you use some 3/4" rebar on the stand it will get a lot more stable, fyi. Looks like you are running 3/8" or 1/2"?

The Bobcat dueling tree will try to eat all of your ammo in short order. Good thing I reload. I also have a full size silhouette and a 10" round gong. They all have had thousands of rounds put on them and not a scratch. Well except 1 from the 17 rem. At 4120 fps I knew it would leave a mark but I was curious enough to shoot it once anyways. I see more steel in my future.

Bobcat makes high quality shootable steel for sure. But if those guys were real men they woulda been shooting from the ground not outta the bed of a truck.

haha, it was far too muddy and cold, we had been shooting for 4 hours at that point, and I was wearing shorts like an idiot. It just wasnt gonna happen.

I am trying to get my buddy to buy a dueling tree next :)
