Black Panther Teaching "Black Survival" Tactics

You may have seen this come up the other day, or maybe not. It is a video of a New Black Panther Party member giving a lecture on "black survival" tactics including the use of firearms and other weapons.

There are many points this man makes that we will readily agree with, such as the concept of everything being a weapon and staying out of your own line of fire. A key difference, of course, being that this is driven by a desire, literally, for power. While we employ these tactics for the purpose of protecting the innocent, the purpose of this lecture is to teach the audience, which includes many children, that the use of these tactics is an approved, even encouraged, method of promoting the advancement of a "black state."

Its a free country, he can teach what he wants. I'd rather a black child get a good dose of "power" or self respect from this guy than a gang. Old Panthers become professors, businessmen, lawyers and community activists. There are very few old gang members. If we must go down this "us vs. them, white vs black" road, then I'd rather a young person gains self respect and identity from being black and proud of it, than of being a crip or blood or D boy.

Now, why don't these panthers start patrolling their own neighborhoods and taking care of the punk-ass gang bangers who are killing their young men in piles? Stop worrying about the white man coming in and lynching them, and start cleaning their own house first. Last I checked, there are a helluva lot more black men killed by other black men, than white Jewish men...

From the three minutes I watched of the video it appears to be self defense. "straight punch to the groin then stand take your arm to his neck and take him down then go on about your business somewhere else" I would tell someone to do the same thing. Never start a fight but if you must win.

Other than that I pretty much agree with WETSU.

Shabazz was also reportedly one of the New Black Panther Party members who allegedly engaged in voter intimidation in Philadelphia on Election Day 2008. The Justice Department dropped the investigation into the incident and no charges were ever filed.

If the focus of this thread remains on the tactics themselves and specifically on survival, it should be OK. If it degenerates further as it has started to with "whitey" type comments, the mod team are all experienced travel agents willing to help you go on a vacation from the site. None of us want to do this, and no, this is not directed at any single person so far. We're all (everyone here) better than this prejudicial crap... let's show that fact to be true, please.

I agree. So many people here are being misled. If we could ever get the truth out to these people so the realize polarization based on race is exactly what they want. They want to make it a whitey has mo stuff that I am entitled too. People of all types and backgrounds need to hear and understand the truth so that we can defend this great nation before tyranny takes over and we become a full on police state.

Would it matter if the guy that made it was a member of the Yakuza or the KKK or any other group? I read the article but did not watch the videos, but if the tactics he's promoting are SD, I don't see it being a survival thing. Don't threaten him and he's no threat to you. The comments he made at the end, including "will you kill to be Black" are far over the top to me, and yes, with his demonstrated and discussed hatred of White people, I'd certainly be vigilant. Here's the differentiation, though: I'm not going to sink to his level and we don't need to do that. Be aware of that particular man (and those who believe as he does) and the threat he/they pose to you. It's no less than any other group's threat that speaks in similar fashion. This is not about his race nor anyone's. If someone wishes only to defend himself, he will pass me in peace as will I, him. If he becomes an attacker, then *I* am the one defending *my*self and he may just find himself the target of his own tactics... and again, neither his race nor mine enters into it. Bullets penetrating vital areas are color-blind.

The best way and I believe plan of the New World Order is for race wars to break down US civilization as we know it. If everyday Blacks, Hispanics, Whites, etc. would realize it is our strength in numbers (if unified) that would shake the elite to their core, then we would could get our country back on track.

We all have an enemy within which is usually misguided but I'm no fool to think people will unify against tyranny when they can't agree on what time it is. So many people can't even think for themselves any more and are simply brainwashed into blaming and hating. Many are targeting their hatred and blame on people who are NOT the cause of the problem in the first place.

I disagree with WETSU that it would be better for kids to be proud of being Black than to get their identity from a gang. Both are destructive ideas contrary to what the Founders envisioned. It would be better for kids of whatever ethnicity or color or religion to be encouraged to be proud AMERICANS first. THAT was what helped make the country strong; the amalgamation of all races and religions together as one people. Countries in Europe have been "balkanized" as racial and ethnic groups get pitted against one another; they are some of the poorest nations in Europe. Balkanization gains us nothing as a country, and that's what race/religion/gender baiters of all stripes are attempting to do.

I wouldn't say 40 years. The original Black Panther Party worked with different cultural, even white, groups. They actually had a pretty noble idea at first. The New Black Panther Party is nothing like the original. The NBPP, unlike the orginal BPP, is a bonafide hate group. It's actually very similar to the orgins of the Klan.... well, somewhat (I'm taking quite a leap in saying that).

As for their self derense tactics, though ver amateur-ish. Good for them. They were not teaching "offensive" tactics, and that is important to note. If someone ends up getting robbed, after attacking a man seated in a chair (regardless of his hateful views) tough, they should have left the guy/gal well enough alone.

You'll never get rid of that type of thinking until Aliens intent on destroying the human race come to our planet. Everyone is proud of their heritage, be it Irish, Scottish, English, Chinese, Italian, Cuban, Greek, Latvian, Polish, Mexican... asking people to simple identify with being soley "American" versus American-(insert name here) will damn near impossible.
