Which are the most serene and beautiful lakes/rivers/streams/etc in the Hoosier state? And which have your favorite wild life? (wild drunken girls on pontoon boats don't count)
Floating the Mississinewa below the dam used to be a very peaceful canoe trip, the smallie fishing was great, and the scenery around 7 Pillars was pretty nice. But I haven't done it in years so I don't know if it still is or not.
the greene sullivan state forest has thousands of good fishing lakes and they are all beautiful i am from greene county and wish i could spend every second out on some of those lakes
i think monroe lake says it all the fishing is great the lake is beautiful and its not to far from home but now come oct, 4th im leaving to go on vacation to north carolina and we are taking our boat with us i just need to check into a few things i dont want to wind up taking my boat there and not being able to use it
hard to beat monroe...sopme really beautiful areas (creek side) that rival waters ive seen down in the Smokies area, esp in the fall. the wake side is a bit annoying, unless youre out there with em that is.
