Why doesn't benelli make a slug barrel for the montefeltro? Would the action not take the beating a slug would impart on it? I am being a baby because if they did make one, I am sure I could by a a more accurate slug gun for what it would cost. I sure like sendin animals to the light with it.

I can't say for sure, but if I were to guess it would be because the Montefeltro is marketed as an upland bird gun. wingshooting, pheasant and dove. If Benelli did make a slug barrel for the gun it would almost certainly cost more then a new Remy 870 or Mossy 500 combo.
