    What peple are forgetting is that regardless of the medical recommendations, the parents HAVE the right to choose appropriate care. Any medical profession can claim what's best for the pt, unless it was a medical emergency, the medical staff doesn't have the right to retain the pt. And not all murmurs require surgery. Plus the parent should have been informed on the steps on how to transfers care.

    Plus, the pt was already taken to another MD and sees that the pt is medically stable.

    The parents will win big time on this one.
