There is a tax free period in Texas at the beginning of the school year for clothes, school supplies and such.

This has been suggested to Mitch in the past and he has flat out said it ain't happening. His legislature apparently agrees with him.

Not a bad idea and I bet the guberment makes it up in the end with other business taxes. so it's all even in the end. But makes the consumer feel good.
