Don't do it.
TL : DR - Just because it is legal, doesn't make it a good idea... but it doesn't necessarily make it a bad one either.
....people need to use some common sense
...I am not going to debate this....
Sorry if this has already been brought up or if im in the wrong forums.. but i saw a picture of a man recently carrying an AR-15.. might have been utah. but i was doing some looking around and was wanting to know if we in Indina can carry one... couldnt find anything on carrying a rifle, license or not, and can it be loaded. Someone said that i could be arrested for disturbing the peace. Indiana does not have a "Disturbing the peace" only a noise ordinance in towns and Disorderly Conduct.. Any Help Please
I saw a man walking with a cell up to his head (not paying any attention) at the Indy 1500 and in the other hand, a AK-47, what got my attention was in had a MAG in it.
def took a double take.
With all the recent incidents around the nation, we as a community need to be vigilant as to how we portray ourselves. While the law does not state we cannot carry a rifle in the manner in the story, a little common sense would go a long way. To do it just because it's your right may not be in your best interest. It's a sad fact that the libratards have labeled many rifles as "assault weapons" and because of that when these are seen in public people freak out. Guess what I'm trying to say is just be smart about things.
And Rosa Parks should have just gotten up and moved to the back of the bus.
The carry of long guns is legal. The carry of a loaded long gun is legal. The carry of a loaded, chambered long gun is legal.
I have personally advocated recently that firearms owners need to stop cowering behind the "the public will be offended" and "just because you can..." BS arguments. Nobody has the right to not be offended, and you absolutely can, so just do so.
Bad things happen. You can't be afraid to act how you wish just because some other person does something wrong. This is why personal responsibility has been all but lost. We don't stand up and do as we wish, demanding that we not be lumped in with criminals.
The oc of long arms is commonplace in Israel. I realize that they face danger regularly. Well, apparently so do we. Carrying at a rally is a good start, but it's not enough. If we're only exercising our rights when we're "showing support/protesting" then we're not really exercising our rights.
We have idiots as elected representatives right this minute doing everything they can to ban the very rifles we should be carrying with us daily not only because they were used in a few crimes lately, but also because we don't stand up together and say "Enough! If you attempt to ban them, we're going to start carrying them and will keep carrying them, and we will never give up carrying them."
