That's how they all start though...seems like an extra part left over in the parts bin, or some new cool accessory has the uncanny ability to turn itself into a complete rifle. :rockwoot:

Amen to this, I've had 3 stocks grow into complete lowers! Hell, one of them stopped short of a full rifle and stopped at SBR!

Here is my work-in-progress. I ordered the Complete 20-Inch Upper for it from PSA on Friday.

Now we play the waiting game...

Im about to cry! I need to finish my build.

I see so many ideas in this thread lol. Now my head hurts with "potential" :D

I looked at the R15 sunday and I cant justify the price when I can do my own build for a bit less.

    Congrats!

Nice touch on the red 'HK' style on the 'fire' switch. :yesway:
I wasn't aware that the fire selection being in red and white was an H&K thing. I guess I figured most manufacturers did that when filling the engravings. It definitely more easily distinguishes "fire" from "safe".

I think you probably deduced this already, but I did the painting myself. I used white and red Sharpie paint markers that I picked up at Jo-Ann Fabrics, and then put some Acetone on paper towels to remove the spots where the paint got outside the lines. Took about 20 minutes to do, and that includes going over it all several times.
