It reminded me of my grandfather who served in WW2 as a Marine and my uncle who served in the Army during Vietnam, he never went but if my memory serves me correctly he was ready to go.
I loved it. It speaks the volumes about heritage, sacrifice and passing the torch.
I have family on all sides of the WWII, Swede, Allies, and Axis.
2 grandfathers in Korea, Army and Marine, a family member who fought and died in Vietnam, awarded the TMOH.
Ofcourse, in differing family lines, we go back much farther, and in recent times, too
I want to make a shrine of those in my family who served, and tell the tales I've been told to my children, and hopefully they'll tell tales, too.
