Someone was testing electronic muffs at the shoot. What brand/model were they? And how did they work out?

esrice was talking to several folks about electronic ear pro. I remember nipprdog in particular asking several questions.

esrice is currently working on conducting a field test on 4 pair of muffs and will then write a review. I don't know his timing for the final review.

I wasnt testing, but I have Cadwell E-MAX Low Profile muffs:
E-MAX Low Profile Electronic Earmuffs (NRR 23dB) Green

Got them on sale at MidwayUSA for $19, now $26. Not bad muffs for that cheap. Has loose wire, so my right ear is a bit quircky, but overall for the price I love them.

Mine weren't on esrice's list, so I couldn't participate. But well worth it in my opinion.

I had a pair of Radian that I paid about $70 for. My standard response is that I resisted buying electronics for years due to the cost. The day I finally bought them, I kicked myself for waiting so long. They are completely worth the cost.

I am waiting for that write up by Esrice. I want to see what he says about the difference in the mid level and expensive ones.

    What model?

Yes, Pro-Amps. They've got one or two deficiencies, but overall I've been happy with them. I'd like to have some advanced features of the more expensive brands and models, but I don't want to pay $200 for them. The irony is that I'm sure that once I do, I'll have the same reaction I had when I went from standard muffs to electronics. :D
