Just wanted to say thanks again Jedi for a great event, even a bit better since i finally got a little INGO swag in the pistol comp.

Also thanks to those who did the cooking!

My 13 yr old Daughter got in her first range time and loved it, and she is looking forward on making another one.

As well as the wife and i....it's nice to escape the "city" living now and then.

Someone had a revolver that locked up. We thought it was the pistol lock. Anyone know if that person got the pistol working???

Nipprdog. Where's the pics?? When I said they were killing my cell phone, I just meant I had to view the threads on a computer.

The person with the revolver was not an INGO member and they left after a while so no idea if they (2 guys) ever got the handgun to work again.

OK so what does this mean....do revolvers fail? Enquiring minds want to know.

Anything mechanical, of which a revolver is, can and will fail.
Now revolvers are more reliable than a semi-auto due to the lower number of mechanical parts in it vs a semi-auto. However as we saw at the range this past time, a revolver failed to shoot due to it locking up (ie. the cyclinder got stuck).

I think it was GB or Joe that had a revolver lock up on them as well earlier this year. WD also had a revolver that was giving him issues (not at the meet & shoot).

No firearm is 100% reliable, unless, off course, you are talking about GLOCKS :puke: since they ALWAYS blow up in the user's hand. :D

It was gun bunnies, and it was due to a hammer spring(I think) breaking...

    What Jedi said.
And, you always here that "revolvers never fail".
In my experience, revolvers are more reliable.
But when they fail, it is usually worse.
Most semi-auto problems (not all) can be cleared by mag chang, and clearing a round.

When a revolver fails, major problem.

OK Great, thanks for the input. I had no idea cylinders got stuck.

Primers can become unseated and push out the back.
There is actually a lot of "clock work" inside a revolver where you can't see it. Something can easily "spring".
Timing can become off. That's the cylinder lining up to barrel and hammer coming down.
I think the guy that was at the range had his gun lock worked itself out to stop the gun from firing.

By the way. I forgot to mention.
An Honorable Mention should go to
Mr. Obnoxious, and little girl Obnoxious.
They both shot a 22 in pretty good winds.
    They both had great grouping.
Unfortunately for them, each group was on the outer scoring ring, or outside.
    But a nice group.
