I can't recommend this rifle enough, at that price. Plenty accurate to earn your Rifleman patch, without having to add anything but a sling and a cheap scope or some Tech Sights.

Bought one Spring of 2010. Of the 3 Marlin 22LRs I own, this is my favorite. Accurate gun, light weight, but with a good balance point about 4 to 5 inches forward of the trigger.

Mine didn't like the Remington Golden bullets or some old Winchester Wildcats. OK with a 50 box of Thunderbolts though the manaul recommeds against them. Winchester and Federal bulk worked fine so far.

I had the same poor luck with the Remington Golden. It's been eating Federal and some CCI just fine.

I picked one up at Dunham's last week for even a bit less...including a scope...

I just checked and you can still get it for $99 with the scope this week at Dunham's.

Figures, I picked one up on Black Friday for regular price. Although I did get $10 off for a purchase over $100 and a $20 in-store gift receipt. Suppose that more than makes up for it plus the rebate lol.

Oh, I've already sent it in ;) I'm just irritated it's on-sale now instead of when I bought it. But, like I said, the $20 coupon from Dicks makes up for it. I'll grab a brick of ammo, and then start saving up for those Tech-sights everybody is talking about. Along with some extra magazines. I could've purchased a Mossberg Plinkster that morning for $120, but didn't like the camo stock. I read a lot of reviews too, and I'm sure I'll be satisfied :D
