As if I needed to add another caliber to my roster, I am building my INGO lower into a .300BLK SBR (8.5" barrel) to see what my .30cal suppressor can really do. I do not reload, so this just going to be for range fun to show how quiet a rifle can be.

I need some suggestions for what are some of the best brand of subsonic .300 BLK ammo.

    I have a Noveske 8.2 and AAC 762 SDN6.

    I've ran:

    Gemtech 187gr. Nice and quiet.
    Remington 220gr. Not as quiet.
Ozark ordinance 208 amax. Nice and quiet
Freedom munitions 208 amax. Nice and quiet.

I've also loaded some 208 amax and 220 Sierra (I think). Both were definitely more quiet than the factory Remington stuff.

I'm very happy with the 208 amax from freedom munitions. I'd like to get some more gemtech and compare more.

Definitely the Gemtech 187gr Subsonic rounds. Very quiet and consistent groups. Also, makes a good hunting load.

ACC- if you've ever considered reloading, starting with 300 would be a good reason. Find a used single stage press, a set of Lee dies, etc. Build up your loading 'startup' setup as time and budget allows. I would care to guess you'll have fun. Then you can dial up supers, subs what ever you want for 300. Just my :twocents:

Thanks for the recommendations! I decided to go with some 208 A-Max from Freedom Munitions as it was nearly $100 cheaper per 500 rounds than the Gemtech 187g. I hope this ammo will run reliably in my .300BLK AR!

Ordered my first batch of .300 Blackout ammo. Got 500 rounds of plain jane American Eagle 150gr fmj just because it was cheep. Once I get my upper back (being rebarreled in .300) and get her running, and zeroed, I'll spring for some better stuff.
