    Obama wasn't a lame duck in 08 or 12.

And he had no problem with gun control. He just didn't accomplish anything with it. (Nothing new there.) Hillary will not approach gun control with the same zest Obama did. She saw, and will no doubt be reminded, of the pain her husband went through after pushing it through. All pain and no gain. Hillary is a smart enough politician to understand that. Obama didn't care.

Yet Hillary was out there whoring for gun control to earn Bloombergs donations.

Well, that and he has plenty of posts to get into the classifieds now.

    Quality posts? Well....
Boy some folks can really stray from the OP! With some rather laughable writing that are real quality posts??? .22LR Flippers disappearing is a good thing, but some think they are high-roller investors who are turning .22LR flipping into a professional past-time............ good luck with that.................

As with any long running thread the conversation will take a new path. It is SOP around here. Many of these posts go off the rails but the issues being discussed do have an impact on our hobby/sport/passion.

Rest assured, if she's the nominee, repubs will be using the "she's going to take our guns" campaign tool whether she intends to or not.

I've yet to see a liberal, socialist Democrat, who didn't "intend" to embrace gun banning. If they are successful or not in doing it is another matter.

I think you're saying we're saying more than we're saying. No one's talking about high-roller investing. Horn's just saying that there's a potentially better return by investing in ammo than investing in a CD. That's probably true. Either way it's a win/win. A Hillary victory in 2016 will likely touch off another panic for a fairly large short term gain. If not, and the price drops like I think it will, eh, you still got a crap ton of ammo to either shoot or hang onto for the long term investment. Because eventually, even if there are no more panics, inflation will catch it back up.

As far as "flipping" if retailers sell their products for way under what the market will bear, naturally there will be people who will take advantage of that, either by stockpiling, or flipping. I think I remember reading somewhere that the manufacturers will be raising prices in the near future to help stabilize the market. Finally.

Would you be as butthurt if I took that same money and gambled it away in Vegas?

I'll ask again. What is the moral difference between investing in ammo or gold and silver? Can you come up with a non emotional answer?

The anti flippers will just redirect their hatred towards the manufacturers or retailers if they do raise prices to a real market value.

I know I'll never forgive coke for raising their prices above a nickel. Those greedy bastards.

The flippers wouldn't be on here crying if their big business plan was working. ;)

Don't know who you're talking about as I haven't lost a dime and my pike is worth way more than I paid for it.

There is no difference. People just like to ***** and moan when something does not fit their needs.
