    Huge difference between these rounds.

The 22 mag is just moderately more powerful than the 22lr. Ammo is cheap, and should be available at 15 bucks for 50.

The 22-250 is a high powered center-fire cartridge, and is a very flat shooting coyote popping round. Good for long range, but fairly expensive to shoot. Rounds cost around 20-30 bucks for 20.

Sorta like trying to decide between a go cart and an Indy Car. The 22mag is a rimfire cartridge that you could use to plink, target shoot and hunt small game/varmints with for about $10/50 rounds whereas the 22/250 is a powerful, and LOUD, centerfire cartridge that could be used for larger varmints and target shooting but cost around $20 a box of 20. I'd go with the 22 mag for a general all around rifle. Plus you can get a hand gun in the same caliber if you want. :twocents:
