Just for porn purposes, here's a pic of the fusion that's currently in the running with the other stuff.

I think the LES BAER would retain it's value better & get more respect:D

I have a Baer TRS along with a couple of Wilson's and a Brown. Not to mention different models of Colt, Springfield, Kimber, Para, and even a WWII Remington Rand. Yes, I'm kind of a 1911 fan. If you want a well built semi custom 1911 the Baer is hard to beat. It is really my work horse and one of the first ones out of the safe.

Like others have said, life is short and if you can afford to have what you want than have at it. Good luck with your decision and make sure you get what YOU want and not what someone tells you that you SHOULD have. That is unless they are buying it for you. :)

The Fusion is going to be the winner this time. Bob has been great to work with, the reviews I read are mostly glowing, and even the guys at elmores who were trying sell me brown raved about the Fusions they'd seen.

The next one might be the Brown special forces, or it might be another fusion. Getting to design it yourself is pretty cool, and what I've seen from Bob so far makes me believe he will give great customer support.

If I were going to buy a crazy high end 1911 I would get a failzero custom greaseless one with all of the bells and whistles. But I like all 1911's from the cheapest to the highest. Most of the ones I buy are used, more bang for your buck usually.

I too thought it was a bash the cheaper 1911 for price vs ability to shoot good. I too want a Les Baer in the SRP flavor, an Ed Brown Kobra carry and a Bill Wilson carry. I just have not had the funds to get them, but I will at least have the SRP this spring. I say if you can afford it then go get it!:rockwoot:

The Baer "people in the know" usually go with John at Proload in Idaho.....great customer service and many, many Baers in stock, ready to ship!
    There you go! :rockwoot:

Last time I talked to him, which was a couple weeks ago, he had 2K +/- in stock. But, don't take my word for it, 208-772-2339. ;)
