I know it all depends on style of clothing and preference of type of holster but what do you guys think the most comfortable way if there is one, to carry a full-sized 1911
Having been used to carrying a P228 IWB, I'm still quite amazed that a 3-4 o'clock IWB carry of my Government model is every bit as comfortable. Don't discount just how thin they are...
I carry full and commander 1911s in fricke archangels aiwb. I'm tallish, but I find it pretty comfy, other than the vs operator ii cheese graters on one of my guns...
I'm in and out of the car a lot and like to wear sport coats so a shoulder holster gets the nod during the cooler months. Guess I need to look at my summer options some more.
i carry a 5" colt daily in one of these, i find it very comfortable, took a little while for the leather to break in, but not that it's worn in i'm in love. don't know what your build is but i'm 6'2" about 165lbs. and carry with this holster on the hip is the most comfortable way i've found yet...
I carry either my government or officer size in an IWB I made for myself at the 4 o'clock probably 95% of the time. The rest of the time its in a shoulder rig.
My IWB holster keeps it concealed with a loose t-shirt or polo shirt.
The shoulder holster is nice too, but requires a jacket or a looser Hawaiian shirt to conceal.
