Lugar WITHDRAWS SUPP ---UN---Sponsors Thune's National Reciprocity Carry Bill
GOA is reporting that Dick Lugar, the most anti-gun GOP Senator in Washington has signed on as a co-sponsor to the Thune carry bill.
That can only mean 1 thing . . . the bill will never be allowed to pass the Senate...
A new bill in the Senate would make any concealed carry permit valid across the country. S.2188 was introduced yesterday by senators Mark Begich of Alaska and Joe Manchin of W. Virginia, both Democrats. The proposed law would ensure reciprocity between states in the same way that states...
This Senate bill was introduced today by Senators Mark Begich (D-Alaska) and Joe Manchin (D-West Virginia). It's the Senate's companion to H. R. 822, approved by the House in a 272-154 vote (November 2011).
My letter to Senators Lugar and Coats:
Just looking at the map on usacarry.com and I noticed that Indiana honors permits from every state but Vermont. Vermont however honors our LTCH. That seems a bit odd, that we honor everyone but VT... Anyone know the reasoning behind that?
Although H.R. 822 passed 272 to 154 with 43 Democrats voting for it, there were 7 RINOs who voted against it:
Justin Amash, MI-3
Robert Dold, IL-10
Mike Grimm, NY-13
Peter King, NY-3
Dan Lungren, CA-3
Bob Turner, NY-9
Rob Woodall, GA-7
Perhaps a respectful e-mail, phone call, and-or letter...
Riddle me this
How is it that South Carolina CCW holders are given "reciprocity" in states such as Indiana, yet South Carolina does not provide the same reciprocity?
Why does Indiana recognize South Carolina but South Carolina does not recognize Indiana? Seems counter to reciprocity. This...
I see some people think this is great, other things its bad. I get emails from pro-gun places that think its bad, while the NRA says its great.
I dont know what to think, so what do you guys think about it?
I recently had to do some reciprocity research for traveling, and some research on the non-residential Utah carry permit. I ended up finding this neat app, and here are some commonly referenced screenshots for us.

My wife and I may be moving to Texas, we both have a lifetime license to carry issued in Indiana.
Question is this: (And I can't seem to find any forum or government site with a clear answer) Is our license valid in Texas when we establish residency there?
Any takers?
The hearing before the U.S. House subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, regarding H.R. 822, which would set up a national system of interstate reciprocity for concealed handgun carry permits. The video of the subcommittee hearing is an hour and 45 minutes...

Question for a LEO or other well informed member of INGO. If a persons driving privileges are are suspended here in Indiana, but that person had since moved to KY, and obtained a KY drivers license, is there any type of reciprocity between IN & KY?
Also is that person still legally barred from...
I know that you have to follow the rules of the state that you are in as far as how to carry, but my question is if a state like Florida, that honors the Indiana LTCH, says you have to be 21 to get one of their LTCH(or permits or CCW or whatever) does that mean I could not carry in that state...
Here it is, and its long.

Buried deep in the bowls of the legal mumbo-jumbo there is NO RECIPROCITY for non-Illinois residents . . . HOWEVER, there is a provision for non-residents to attain an Illinois license.
So our Indiana...
HR 822 National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Bill
HR 822, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Bill, has been reintroduced with the hope that the new Congress will be more enthusiastic about passing it. The current bill provides that anyone who has a valid firearm carry permit can use that...
Just got an email from NRA as I'm sure many of you have. I think this is a great bill and I think we should flood our representatives with emails and phone calls DEMANDING them to support this bill.
