I recently acquired a refurb 1930 Izshevk Mosin-Nagant M91/30. You can read more about the rifle itself here.

I got a chance to take it out to the range at Atterbury today and send...

KelTeck KSG
20 year old Winchester 1300 Defender Wood stock.
4-26 round KCI magazines for the Glock

Yesterday, my friend Mark and I went to the Wilbur Wright Fish and Wildlife Area to sight in his AR-15 (Rock River Arms Carbine 5.56). Brand new weapon, iron sights, yada, yada, yada.
First of all the weather was perfect. After a week of cold and rain the sun came out and the wind died...
I had the opportunity to head to the Atterbury Shooting Complex on Friday (5/20) to shoot my Springfield XD9 subcompact. I went with a friend of mine and neither of us were in a hurry so we shared a lane and took turns shooting (he brought his gun too). The weather was beautiful; it was a joy to...
Shooting Residential Brick Walls
Questions being explored:
If shots are fired inside a brick clad home, will they penetrate an exterior wall?
If shots are fired outside a brick clad home, will the brick provide any protection to occupants of the home?
Secondary question: How much...
So I took the new sig out today to the range today and I thought I'd do a lil write up on it. I started out at 10 yards and I had everything I actually aimed at hit on the dot, decided to move out to 15 and 25 yards and still was hittin everything I aimed at. This thing shoots like a dream, I...
As previosuly mentioned, I purchased a PM9 from Impact Guns last Tuesday. It arrived at KS&E on Friday.
I had been weighing my choices for a new carry pistol for awhile, and had settled on the PM9. I'd had an opportunity to shoot both the PM9 & PM40, so I wasn't expecting any surprises.
My...
OK Folks, what we have here is a 1976 Glenfield (Marlin) Model 60 rifle in .22lr. As far as I know, and can tell, the rifle is completely stock. Mounted on top we have a Redfield 4x scope that has been on the rifle as long as I have had it.
This rifle was my first, given to my by my dad...
Range Report: A Frozen Day at the Range
Went to Martinsville Sportsman's Conservation Club on Sunday in the cold in order to plink some steel and AQT's with a couple of rifles. It's part of my resolution to shoot each and every week. Cold not withstanding.
In any event, I pulled up the...
I also got some of the targets from Steel King and wanted to use it at relatively close range. The targets were rusty when I got them home, but a wire brush cleaned them up fine. I painted one up and attached it to a yard sign holder and ran it out to the range for a quick check to see how...
Range Report: Penetration Tests
I had been considering some penetration tests for some time. Basically, look at the actual real life penetration capabilities of various ammo that I keep as standard loads in my gear.
My stumbling point was in not having a good volume supply of items that...
Scutter, Lars and myself braved the elements and headed to Hamilton County Fish and Game this morning. We had a great time shooting and had the range all to ourselves. In fact, it looked like we were the first ones out there in days. We brought several weapons :ingo:
DDM4 - Lar's took his...
This is sort of a tangent thought to the excellent range report provided by lovemywoods. He demonstrated the differences in shooting different brands of buckshot from a 12 gauge. Some brands shot a tighter pattern, and some spread the pellets out much wider. The shot pattern ranged from 1-6...
Background/Purpose
I recently bought a used Remington 870 Wingmaster. In its previous life, it had been abused much and shot little (I hope to reverse both trends!) It has a 21” Remington Police barrel (Cylinder Bore = no choke). Another INGO member and good friend ‘rescued’ this noble shotgun...
I carry one all of the time - and I totally agree with the above. It's a good fit - for its specific niche. I'm not in the habit yet of carrying something larger. So for me - carrying an LCP beats carrying nothing. And I absolutely agree with using the grip extension.
Scutter, Spasmo, danielocean and I hit the range today. Great weather and a fun time!

Went to Blythe's yesterday with my brother in law, out target shooting with my new G19 and the .357 :D 2nd time shooting the .357 and 2nd time out officially shooting target practice with the G19. All of these were shot at 21 feet.
9mm
30 rounds of slower shooting. Trying to regain the feel...
For those of you not already aware, I picked up a 10/22 at the 1500 a few weeks ago:
I took it out to Hamilton County Fish and Game today to give it a bit of a shakedown. On the whole I was pleased with its performance. It's very difficult to miss your target unless you're trying to miss...
So I finally made it to the range with the new PLR-16 to give it a basic function test/break in. Now, just as background, my intent for this PLR is to file a Form 1, put the stock adapter with a side folder on it and make it into a short barreled rifle. Before filing the $200 form, I wanted to...
