      That ain’t good enough!!!

Very much in agreement with this. It does seem like the gun sections of the forums I frequent have slowed down quite a bit. I don't mind the other stuff, and while I likely agree with most here politically, I'm just not into spending a bunch of time discussing that depressing topic. I'm here...

      I did something I said I'd never do again...I bought a Taurus.

There's not really anything for them to fix or replace. The gun works as designed. It's just not designed to do what I'd hoped it would do.

Indiana Gun Sale to Active Military Member

Here's some reading that might offer some insight into the whole convoluted mess. Again, IANAL, and don't know all of your circumstances, but your daughter buying a gun for you as a gift is a bit different than selling a gun to a non-resident's family member with the intent of circumventing...

Indiana Gun Sale to Active Military Member

This is very bad advice that could land somebody in prison. Do not attempt to circumvent the law by selling to a family member knowing that the actual intended recipient is someone else that you can't (or think you can't) legally sell to. In this case the seller is already privy to the...

      I did something I said I'd never do again...I bought a Taurus.

Didn't state anything. Just considering options. I typically have one gun in the collection that's kind of a testing & evaluation piece. It's not something that I use in any serious role (I have plenty of vetted stuff for that)...just kind of a project. If it works out that I like it and it...

      I did something I said I'd never do again...I bought a Taurus.

I came into some 200gr XTPs recently, so I loaded up some 185s, 200s, and 230s to shoot all in the same session. It was pouring rain, so i had to shoot inside on the 50 foot range...close enough to 15 yards for all intents and purposes. If you give some allowances for my less than stellar...

My New Charter Arms Off Duty .38 Special Revolver.

Well that's a bummer, but sounds like you're making the best of it. Are we going to get a write-up on the Kahr?

How does the pocket gun crowd deal with multiple well armed attackers?

Our world is changing, I won't argue that. And I'll aso agree that bad stuff can happen anywhere, even in the sticks. Some level of preparedness is important. I'm definitely not viewing the world through rose colored glasses. Due to my job I'm aware of pretty much every violent incident that...

Wasp Spray vs Pepper Spray vs Legality

Has anybody here advocating for wasp spray ever been sprayed with it? How about pepper spray? The purpose of an aerosol self defense spray is to deter an attacker so you can get away (or take them into custody if you're a cop). OC (oleoresin capsicum, or pepper spray) is an inflammatory, and it...

LTT makes some parts to fix that trigger. Just sayin'... :stickpoke: :):

      Done with PSA

PSA is traditionally kind of slow to ship, but I've always eventually received my order and typically been satisfied with what I got for the price.

Rate my wallhanger project (so far).

I like it. Should look great over the fireplace. My brother did something similar with our Grandpa's old .45 muzzleloader.

      I did something I said I'd never do again...I bought a Taurus.

I found some grips for this thing on Amazon from a Brazilian company called MBT. They are hard plastic, and appear to be 3D printed, but fit well and don't allow the gun to jump in the hand as much as the factory rubbers. I cut them down to about "boot" length, and I'm pretty happy with the...

      Rossi Level Action Screws Loose

Blue loctite. Just enough to coat the threads, not enough to run down into the gun and make a mess of things (put it on the screw, don't squirt it in the hole). It's a common issue with leverguns...my Marlins do it too.

      Cute Pet Pic thread

My kid was sitting in the chair reading and the dog was stone cold asleep on the floor next to him. My son got up to get something from the other room, was gone for just a few seconds, and came back to this. Sneaky bugger!

      M14 is finally done.

good to know...I hadn't considered that! I had an interesting observation the other day shooting my Garand and 03A3. When picking up brass, empties from the bolt gun can be comfortably collected pretty much immediately. But even slow-fire out of the Garand, and after going through a full clip...

      M14 is finally done.

Just in general, or was there something about it on the M1A that you specifically didn't like? Like I said, I've never shot one, but my thought process has always been that it would have some distinct advantages on this platform due to the design of the action.

      M14 is finally done.

Yeah, I've considered that, too...and mounting a scout scope on one would be interesting, and a nice contrast to my iron-sighted Garands. I've never shot a short-barreled variant, so at this point it's all just ideas bouncing around in my head with no real frame of reference.

      M14 is finally done.

We actually had two in the armory at work for a while...an H&R and a Winchester. Both USGI with the fun switch disabled. We had them through the LESO program and returned all of that stuff a few years ago (that was a fun paperwork experience, let me tell you!), but I had them both to the range a...

Legit AD on a Holstered SIG 320 on video

I'm willing to believe it's happening, but like you I'd like to see more information. I'm around a lot of 320s, and have yet to experience or witness anything like this.
