      Centurion suppressor

I think it depends on the aluminum. 6065, agreed. 7075 with a good coating? Should be ok, unless you are mag dumping an SBR.

      6.5 grendel

This, according to my son. That’s what he runs in his AR. Accurate and deadly. You are still one MOA. Deer have an 8” kill zone. Just make sure to take ethical shots and you should be good.

      Statewide Burn Ban Status…

I believe it! Spent nearly 40 years putting out peoples bad decisions. The problem with burn bans is it doesn’t stop stupid. Same with Indiana’s open burning law, which was written for air quality not fire safety.

      Statewide Burn Ban Status…

Read the local ban regulations. A lot exclude campfires in a ring. These regulations can also be unenforceable. Not all but some. That being said, use good judgment if you are having a campfire.

      Statewide Burn Ban Status…

Read the individual county ban. Some exempt fire pits and grills.

      Bore Polishing Ammo?

From what I’ve read, Microgroove can have differing diameters through the length of the barrel. I confirmed this last night slugging my barrel. Tight under the front sight and the chamber area. From what I can gather, fire lapping is a cheaper way of getting a lapped barrel. The ammo used is low...

Pictures of the great outdoors thread.

Forgot a trail camera last year. I do hunt crows, but Hitcocks the Birds freaked me out as a youngster lol.

      Bore Polishing Ammo?

I’ve been researching loading cast in Microgoove barrels recently. I believe that product is for fire lapping barrels.

      Low light hunting glass

I have 3 different 2-7 variable scopes on hunting rifles. All work. Quality and price match how I would rank them based on use. #1- Leupold VX5 with Fire dot duplex reticle. Best clarity. I’m a fan of a simple duplex reticle. The fire dot is amazing. Lightest one. #2- Steiner GS3. Bought this...

      Youth deer rifle suggestions

AR15 with adjustable stock would be my first choice for your requirements. Different uppers will allow for different uses. Lever gun in a deer legal caliber comes in second. Many deer legal calibers for use in on private and public ground. Usually have a little shorter LoP allowing for long term...

      Mossberg scope info

I just never knew they existed lol. I am asking more for it to go to a good home that will appreciate it, rather than get thrown in a drawer and forgotten about. Now I am thinking about making a display of all the other stuff in the drawer. That thought didn’t last long lol. Too much stuff and...

      Mossberg scope info

I have recently acquired a Mossberg branded scope. Who can share any information on it? Is it collectible? It is on a fairly heavy recoiling rifle (444 Marlin). There is not enough eye relief for my liking.
