I would agree, having done it once myself. You can have someone else make the parts as long as you are there and take immediate possession of the finished components.
I had one of the mini 1911s in .22 for years and it was fun to shoot, but not all that reliable. As a cheap plinker they would be fine but for serious social work I wouldn't use one.
This reminds me of another story, slightly different but just as amusing. I was serving on the SWAT team and a local TV station had asked to come out and film us training. Before the cameras arrived one of the entry guys took his MP5 and put a full magazine into one ragged hole from about 3...
I've used Gun Broker for years now and never had a problem. The closest I came to an issue was a .44 mag I sold once and a few days later the buyer sent a long email with a tale of woe, asking if I would release him from his commitment. I agreed, relisted the gun and had it sold for the same...
I haven't had an MRE for a number of years, but this thread brings back fond memories of the corned beef hash. Hot or cold, with a little tobasco that was high living in the boonies!
I have a winter home in Tucson that is probably going to be my permanent residence soon. Janet Napolitano and her left wing Attorney General sued to stop every law or voter initiative that tried to stem the flow of illegals, require identification to vote or partake of public services. I can't...
Don't think that just because they are the police that they know and understand the law. This is probably the brainchild of some mid-level employee and was implemented without seeking any advise from the City's legal department. They also may know someone will have to bear the expense of a...
Don is as crooked as the day is long. If you want to know what he is really all about do a search on his history with the Teamsters in Ohio before he came to Indiana.
That is a good point, but the knife blade is actually about the last thing I would use a multi function for, other than to butter a piece of toast or something similiar.
Check out a brand called Rough Rider. It's a Chinese import that is actually a very high quality knife. I bought a hunter on eBay that is a copy of a Loveless blade design and it cost me $15 shipped. It's actually decent steel, and if something goes wrong with it so what? Throw it away and get...
I've carried one for years, I think it's about a 30 function Swiss Army folder. Mostly I use the bottle and can openers, the scissors, and magnifying glass. I knew a number of Navy Seals years ago that habitually carried their issued 64 function Swiss Army knives. It's one of those things that...
I like the Kel-tec idea, and I always figured in a SHTF situation I'm going to take out the first goblin who accosts me and trade up to his weapons anyway.
