So I was in the trading mood yesterday and when it was over I ended up with a new sig 1911 22 that will be the wife's new around the farm plinker. Haven't got to chamber a round and try it yet I like the feel of it and the wife really does but before I had it over to her anybody have anything...
Can't post pics yet post count not high enough yet I guess but did get one off gunbroker and love the way it feels shot some clay with it very happy with it. Keeping my eyes open for a 20 gauge now for the wife.
Firing pin had already been done checked on that long time ago. The piece that broke on mine is a bracket on the back of the bolt. I called and talked with the gunsmith I use when I need help talked to him about it and I'm going to go down hopefully this coming week and tear it apart he said he...
Winchester model 100 in 308 haven't tore into yet but looking up the magazine opening looks like there is a bracket on both sides of the bolt which I'm guessing connect it to gas system well one on the back side on the busted off. Still attached to the bolt broke off whatever it connects to...
Side note we didn't set out that day looking to see the differences between the two 7mm we set out that day trying to see the differences between factory loads and hand loads we had made up when we stumbled on the differences between the two rifles with same rounds. Funny how things turn up...
As long as you stay at or over 24" you will not see a loss in performance under that you will not be getting your full effect of your weapons available power. Around 22" you might as well be shooting a 270 win because you will be getting about the same performance with the less recoil of the...
Well didn't take long just won one on broker hopefully get it this week and try it out shooting clay this Thursday with some buddies. Gave little more than I wanted ended up at 420.00
Looking at getting Ithaca 37 featherlight 16 gauge I've never owned a Ithaca is there anything I should know good or bad about them. There are a couple on gunbroker right now that look very clean for older guns. Might use it for a little bird hunting and playing with clays.
Back to the whole rings again why is it cz did that like ruger where you have to get there rings I mean yes I understand to make money but come on they made there money on the rifle. I would rather it just be drilled and tapped like most others. I take from the other posts some rifles come with...
three Henry's in the safe love them. Had problems with my golden .17 ejecting spent cases called them up zero issues with the way the took care of me and rifle. Would add another Henry to the collection anytime
Yep rings fit scope on didn't have a lot time yesterday to really play with it just took down to our range and sighted it in at two hundred. Ran fifteen rounds down it was very impressed with shoot groups this thing was holding after scope was dialed in. I had to run into the feed mill pick up...
Good info thanks. Just got back from my normal gun shop got my rings so will be mounting the Nikon on her today also stocked up on ammo went with the fiocch 32 grain v-max 33 bucks a 50 so didn't think that was bad at all so hopefully later today or tomorrow get her on the bench and see how she...
I figured the 32 was a real smoker but I am wondering how much more it is affected by crosswinds than the 45. Been looking on the net for some wind drift info on these rounds not finding a lot yet. Don't have optics on it yet had a Nikon at home for it but no rings so got to get some they didn't...
Noticed you have 32 or 45 grain in the most abundant factory loads. Anyone really compared to see if one stands out. I just picked one box 32 hornady just try rifle out but looking at the two side by side was quite a difference once you get out 300 plus on the drop. Gun is really for the wife to...
