My only sporting shotgun is a Ruger Red Label that my wife bought me for Christmas circa 2006-2007. It tried to have it fitted but in the end it is a pretty hunting gun and definitely not a high round count game gun. I agree with the statement that a competition O/U is going to set you back...
I was at Union station by the aquarium a few weeks ago. I did not feel ill at ease. Lot of police and security around. I did not leave Union Station as I was there for a conference. I did not see any metal detectors anywhere.
I have a Dillon Beam Scale, a trickler and a set of check weights. There is an RCBS automatic trickler sitting on a shelf in my reloading area. It has never been out of the box.
A good single stage press is perfect for loading precision rifle. If that is all you want to do with the press and your reloading journey then that is a great option.
A Dillon 550 is the most flexible and can be used as a single stage, turret or even progressive press. I have one and use...

I just use the OEM extensions. They are just little ledges. It allows a good firm two finger grip with dangling pinkie. Longer magazines/grips sort of negate the purpose of a pocket or ankle gun. The LCPs are easy to carry and not always the most fun to shoot.
You can use the crazy...
Every ProMag I have purchased, used or otherwise seen hit the range has been junk. Stick with the OEM Ruger mags and enjoy your gun. Toss the aftermarket ProMags in a drawer and write them off as paying tuition.
Nothing wrong with Glock 19s. They are the ultimate carry gun and absolutely easier to shoot. You bring up an excellent point. Still, sometimes printing even a little bit more is simply not an option. I have no doubt there are people who can hide whatever gun they need to hide. Keep in mind...
A few months ago I needed a smaller carry gun. We can brag all we want about our carrying our Glock 19s and 1911 commanders, but let’s get real they are not exactly “social guns”. Even my trusty Walther PPS (1st Gen, El Original single stack) was a little large when it comes to deep...
Last time I shot pins was about 20 years ago. The .40 (Walther P99) had no problems removing the pins from the table. A police trade in Glock would be a good addition. Then invest in a 9mm conversion barrel and have a great extra pistol laying around.
Or just use it as an excuse to buy that...
If “go to war” is what I think it implies. You may want to invest in something that is popular and has a lot of holster and magazine options. I feel everyone should own an AR-15 and a Glock in 9mm.
I am a 1911 fan, they make me giggly. But I keep a Glock 45 and Glock 26 as an option...
