I keep several frozen gallon milk jugs in my chest freezer just in case of a power outage. Keeping the freezer full is always helpful in maintaining the right temperature.

I created my own safety line with a prussic knot and mountain climbing ropes. Not a cheap solution but given the risk, there is no excuse for anyone to fall from a stand .
one of the .45's that I foolishly traded away was the ParaOrdnance Warthog. It shot straight, carried alot of rounds and was a great concealed pistol. They are not inexpensive compared to the XD which is also a greatly accurate pistol for the price.
