Anyone else here have a Ruger 77/44 carbine with the rotary magazine?
Since day 1 mine has been a PITA to eject the magazine.
I have to hold in the release catch lever and then wiggle the mag front to back to get it to pop out.
I don't want it to just drop out at the slightest touch but...
Apologies if this has been discussed before, but I searched forums and didn't see it.
According to the DNR website hunting on one's own farmland qualifies as an exemption to a deer hunting license, but the land has to be used for farming, for livestock, or at least zoned agricultural.
I'm...
I guess I would have known that if I'd had it long enough to break it down for cleaning! <grin> Ok, I promise to research more next time before crying wolf! :)
Egg on face!
Wholly crap! That REALLY looked like a hairline fracture along the trigger guard! I'm glad you guys pointed out those images to me... Odd I never noticed it before firing. I wonder if the plinking I did caused it to open up a tiny bit more and make it more noticeable. That's...
After less than 50 rounds through this beast there is a crack along the body between the trigger area and the serial number that goes from the front of the trigger guard all the way back to the handle grips along both sides! I've contacted Ruger regarding their 'making it right' tonight, hope...
I did change that (the aluminum bushing under the feed tube right?)
I'll look at the cam also, as I didn't think that was adjustable. I'm not seeing how adjusting the rod would change the outcome of the placement of the shell on the shell plate feed slot, but will mess with that as well to see...
Hi,
I'm new to reloading, and learning on a Dillon 650.
Having a "Blast" reloading, and was able to get into a pretty good rhythm reloading my 44mags without much fuss at all, but now that I've switched over to 9mm I'm having no end of problems getting brass drop from the feed tube into...
I bought a used 650 from Profire Arms (Thanks Andrew!) and tonight I was putting it all together on my bench and realized there wasn't a battery in the low primer alarm. Tossed in a battery and pressed the go switch and no bzzz bzzz... Hmm, I think... Maybe a bad battery. Tried one from my...
I Picked up a 77/44 Ruger bolt gun. Now I just need to zero in the scope and find someone to go deer hunting with. (After I get the deep freezer fixed that is!!)
I've just been pondering something and have not seen a good explanation anywhere online that covers this: I understand that there are taxes, regulations, paperwork, etc...for purchasing/using/picking your nose with/etc... a suppressor for a firearm here in the USA. What I've not found is a...
Comparing 2 of the same model in Rifle vs. Carbine what would you expect to be the major difference between them? Should I expect the longer Rifle model to be more accurate 'out of the box' than the shorter carbine model? They both have almost the same specs (rifle being 4oz heavier) other...
I was speaking of online, and I guess I just had not looked hard enough. I didn't see Ruger, Walther, had a "Order" button that actually went to their store, not some third party gun sellers. Unless I'm missing it, that doesn't appear to be the case for most of them, Sig, Springfield, Colt...
Is it illegal for gun manufacturers to sell directly to the public (through FFLs), or do they just not want the hassle of dealing with individual sales and shipping? Just wondering...
